Comments & ID Thoughts
I found this while traveling to South Mexico in Chiapas. It was found under a night stand with many other spiders. This one had a black sack carrying it infront of her face, I think it was an egg sack. But the other spidera had white egg sacks in the spider web. Does anyone know what type of spider is it?

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This looks to be a Cellar Spider (Pholcidae) of some sort. The “black sack” is actually the spider’s pedipalps, it looks different from the one that had white egg sacks because this is a male spider. Those are his reproductive organs. Females have padipalps too but they’re slender. Was this found in Mexico or Florida? I just want to make sure the location that is listed above is correct.
