The picture doesn't show a lot of detail, but this looks like a male sac spider (family Clubionidae) to me.

Crab spiders (family Thomisidae) resemble their namesake in the way they hold their legs. If this were a running crab spider (family Philodromidae), its second pair of legs would be longer than its first pair of legs.

Neither of the North American genera of sac spiders (Clubiona and Elaver) is recognized as being dangerously venomous to humans.

    Kiloboy:

If the spiders are appearing *indoors*, then I think they are probably longlegged sac spiders in the genus Cheiracanthium (family Miturgidae). They used to be in the Clubionidae and are difficult to tell apart from them. Look for their silken "sleeping bags" where walls meet the ceiling. They rest in those during the day and prowl at night. They are *not* considered by scientists to be dangerously venomous to people or pets, despite myth and speculation. Hope this helps!
