ID:	642I live in NC and found this spider dead on the floor of my one and half year old's room and am wondering what type it is. I am afraid it is a brown recluse, so any help in identifying it would be a great help. Thanks!!

I had to clearify and light the image to see what it is ... it don't looks like a Loxosceles spider to me ... but let see what the experts say ...
PS. Please bury the poor spider, even if it's a Recluse. :3

Welcome to the forum, cari. Unfortunately, the photo is dark and lacks sufficient resolution for me to tell much about this spider. I don't think it's a recluse, but I just can't say for sure yet.

Where in North Carolina do you live? (Normally, the state would be sufficient, but brown recluse spiders are only found in the westernmost tip of your state.) If you don't live in the red zone, it is highly unlikely that you will find a brown recluse.

I wouldn't worry about brown recluses then. :-)

    Cari:

This looks like one of the "hacklemesh weavers" in the family Amaurobiidae, but I can't be completely positive based on the tiny images included here.
