This appears to be a male Nursery Web Spider (Genus Pisaurina) of some species. Despite their sometimes large legspan, they are gentle and not dangerously venomous. He probably wandered in while looking for love.

    Qwertyiou:

MyssArachnomancer is correct, this is a nursery web spider, Pisaurina mira. Despite their size, they are *not* recognized by scientists as dangerously venomous to people or pets.
