  • Description: This femaleĀ Scotophaeus blackwalli was collected on the ceiling of a home and appeared to be gravid (full of eggs). She was kept in captivity and soon created her egg sac, which is the round, silken packet in the image. The individual eggs are somewhat visible through it. See this additional view of the same egg sac, as seen from the opposite side, after the eggs had hatched.
