Comments & ID Thoughts

I am guessing that this is a female Strotarchus piscatorius, but I would welcome any thoughts.

This was in the bathroom sink in my lower level, Harford County, Maryland. It was circling the spot that can be seen behind the spider. I made the initial assumption that it was laying eggs, but it could also be soap from the pump bottle. I did not inspect it before filling the sink and washing it down the drain. The spider seemed to be dragging its body around the spot. If soap, then maybe it had soap on its legs and couldn't walk. If eggs, then it was forming the shape of the "nest".
