Comments & ID Thoughts

I believe this to be a trapdoor spider. Not sure of sex, definitely cool. I've never seen one before. Found while transplanting Day Lilies.

So, you don’t waste time trying to figure out this website, like I did……There isn’t a function to add extra photos to a post. For now the work-around is to post the bonus photos individually as new submissions. All of a site user’s photos are stored together in our accounts. To see someone’s photos: Click username or profile pic > click camera icon. To see everything someone has said click the speech bubble. I hope to find a way to link photos more clearly or have it added to the site.

Cyclocosmia genus cork lid trapdoor spider.
I believe this is Cyclocosmia truncata species.
Species Cyclocosmia truncata – BugGuide.Net
Nice find.
