I don’t know but i am not convinced this is Trichonephila – i am with Dan’s 1st call – that this is one of the widow spiders found in Africa – and a nice fat one at that – it is just that it is a blown up image so she looks larger than she is. The hinge to the right of the image looks massive. Compare her to the side views of brown widow spiders in the attached article – There are more than one widow spider in Africa with banded legs – so i can’t say what type… Read more »
One of your widow spiders, you probably know them as button or cupboard spiders.

From further research and taking the spider out. It is a widow, never seen one before.
